The Income Generation is directly focused on the AIDS Orphan children both infected and affected who had lost their parents due to HIV/AIDS and the relatives or guardians unwilling / financially unsound  to provide care and support  in villages within their community who are without proper care and support.

AIDS is in many ways a family disease. In the areas most affected by the pandemic, the make-up of families and communities is changing as more and more adults in their most productive years become ill and die, leaving the young and the elderly to cope alone.

In rural villages, haunting images repeated in home after home; the oldest child nursing a sick parent and trying to keep the family together, grandparents struggling to provide for clusters of grandchildren, families & relatives refusing to taking in orphaned children, groups of siblings living on their own without adult care.

In the most affected cities, the changes in the social fabric are often harder to see, but are there nonetheless. Economic pressures on families increase as parents fall sick and die. Children drop out of school and often look for way to survive on the street, where they face high risks of HIV infection and other social dangers.

In many families children need to interrupt school education and look after the remaining family. These children, who are unprepared for the role they must assume, are likely to be abused and rejected and many will respond to these pressures and responsibilities by trying their luck in the cities, where they are likely to join the growing numbers of street children.

Hence CORA TRUST for continuation of the program for these AIDS Orphan children who do not have any alternatives for survival in June 2011 we have started a small Dairy Farm with eight milking cows and calves  to earn a portion of for running the orphanage Home for the AIDS Orphan children future and survival . This project was funded by WILDE GANZEN The Netherlands.  Dairying is an important source income and if the project is expanded in a large scale with about 200 hybrid milking cows all activities of this project would become self sustainable in the long run. We earnestly hope to get a funding support or at least a long term loan to expand and continue  this venture.
